camlex Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Hello, I was thinking about to add a transmission cooler in my 97 ES300. A friend of mine, who is good mechanic, told me not to do it. He mentioned that every 15000 miles it drops oil from the plug and you have to refill it. Those coolers are wasting time and money. Please share your experience. Thanks
SKperformance Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 additonal coolers are for extreme heat vehicles if you tow or idle in the desert then sure otherwise it is not needed as you need heat to a point in the tranny
