I have changed the rear and front brakes recently on my 93 Es300. One month ago i had to replace the master cylinder due to low pedal issue. Which is fixed now. But my brake light stays on. I use my hand brake but the light doesn't go off. Do I need adjustment or something? Any comments? Also i used PBR brake pads instead of the original ones. Would that be the cause?

i am guessing you mean the light on the dash not the actual taillights?

have you topped off the fluid since changing the parts as you probably had enough fluid before the brakes were bedded in and now it needs more

Yes on the dash the brake light is still on. I have added brake fluid but don't see any change. Before it wasn't there. I recently reset the ECU but don't see any change.

make sure the pedal is released all the way. (if you have the foot e-brake) also, look down there, there may be a wire loose. if yours has the handbrake, there is an issue i have with electrical connection for the light, every so often, the light pops on when driving and i tap the handle and it goes away. liek if you hit a bump right, it will pop on. its an electrical issue in my case. in your case, it could be something as simple as this or it could be something as complicated as air in the lines.
