ZuZoom
My malfunction indicator lamp came on recently. But it seems to turn off after I turn the car on and off about 4 or 5 times. Then a few days later it will come on again. I had the code checked at AutoZone, which says it's the TPS (Throttle pedal sensor). Does anyone know what this is, and what it does? Or, does anyone have any other suggestions? ---Thanks
SKperformance
A tps it throttle position sensor it basically lets the computer know how much you are pressing on the pedal to adjust timing and fuel for the given load asked for by the driver pressing the pedal should be under warr ? it can be changed easily if it is a problem but it sometimes need to be recalibrated unlike most new electronic peices need to check the wires for it also it is on the intake manifold at the begining right where the ribbed acoridan hose meets the engine
