LS430FAN Posted June 8, 2003 Posted June 8, 2003 I love my 2002 LS430 which I have had for a year now. I thought that I would like to install a phone that would integrate with my navigation system. Lexus has a Nokia 6310i kit that the dealer installs that works with the in-dash system (and will work with AT&T or Cingular etc). The phone if you buy it from AT&T costs $129.00 but the price if you have the dealer install it almost gave me a heart attack. The dealer told me that installing the phone and changing the software on the nav sys would cost me $3,000 (yep that's three thousand dollars). Does anyone have any cheaper solutions to get the Nokia 6310i installed that will integrate properly with the cars nav screen?
SKperformance Posted June 9, 2003 Posted June 9, 2003 just wondering what does the nav do to incorporate the phone i have a car kit for my nokia 6340i same as your gsm modle but mine is tdma it is the same kit i first used for my 6161i which only cost 200 canadian and about 1 hour to put it in the only thing i know for sure is the cell mute wire which mutes the radio but does the nav systme call people r store #'s for three grand i would pay a midget to sit in back and read anythign i needed out to me :snoooorrrtttt:
