az1103 Posted July 9 Posted July 9 The Lexus dashcam in the 2024 LX600 appears to be a piece of unusable garbage ! Try as I may can't get it to ever connect to my iPhone ! Looks like it's a $20 chinese item that gets pre-installed with a $300+ price tag! Very disapointed...
RX400h Posted July 9 Posted July 9 Quote Let’s troubleshoot this issue. Ensure Wi-Fi is Enabled on the Dashcam: Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on the dashcam for more than 1 second until the blue LED starts flashing. Connect via Smartphone App: Download the “Lexus DASH CAMERA” app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Open the app and press the “+” icon. Select the Dashcam Wi-Fi network in your phone’s Wi-Fi settings. Return to the app to complete the connection1. Update Your iPhone: Make sure your iPhone’s operating system is updated to at least version 16.1 or higher. Check App Compatibility: Some issues may be related to specific apps. For example, the Podcasts app might load slowly or not at all. Consider using alternative podcast apps like Overcast3. Remember, you’re not alone—other Lexus owners have encountered similar challenges. If problems persist, consider reaching out to Lexus customer support for further assistance.

Nobody can make that app work, it's a total waste of time! Realize that your Lexus dealer ripped you for $400 for something that would cost about $20 on Amazon !! If you really want a dashcam rip that useless thing off your windshield and throw it in the trash. Shop on Amazon for a real dashcam. Realize you've been had by Lexus.....

I'm very surprised that Toyota/Lexus would risk its reputation by doing that. There are some high-quality dashcams out there.
