wwest
Thinking about using a Ford electric fuel tank selector valve to turn off hot water flow to the climate control system during the summer months. Anyone tried this or an equivalent.

wwest
A/C compressor will run a LOT less often, less load on the engine, better MPG, etc.
Russ White
I have done this on other vehicles for the reasons you list. But not as elgantly as using an electrically operated valve. I use hose barbs and a ball valve the same ID as the hose to the heater. I just wait until I am sure not to need the heater again for the summer, open the hood, and turn the valve to off.
