97’ Es300 key fob,trunk,theft,dome all dont work help me😓

I have a with 97’ es300 the wireless remote, dome light, trunk button near steering wheel all dont work at all. There was a short i tracked down years ago after a  bad mechanic tried to find it he said he disabled all these things but didnt say how. I checked all the fuses associated with any of these all fine. Relays and fuses are all there. Its driving  me crazy i cant figure out what he did he went out of biz and i cant ask him. Tell me your ideas on how to track this down its driving me insane
