Plug and Play Performance Tuners

my wife and i just purchased a new 2023 is 350 f sport and would like to try to get a bit more out of the motor.  a saleperson suggested a plug and play tuner and indicated it would not void the warranty as it was removeable and would leave no trace on the ecm.  does anyone have a brand recommendation for such a product, there seems to be quite an assortment of them available.  have some experience with tuners on diesel trucks but nothing like this so far.

Sorry to say, but I think the salesperson is not right.

A competent person with right equipment would be able to see in the software if something had been altered.

I'm considering this for a 2005 RX330. Connects to OBD port. When removed car resorts back to factory settings.
