Start button slow to respond 2011 RX 350

Often the Start button is slow to respond requiring pushing it 3 - 5 times.  Batteries in key fobs are fine.  Any suggestions?

Yes, I'm referring to the Start button on the dash.  No, I've not checked the voltage to the starter while the button is pressed.  Is this your recommendation?  Thanks so much for your prompt reply!
