silvermate Posted October 30, 2004 Share Posted October 30, 2004 just changing 8 plugs isn't a tune up per say... its really just as it states 8 new plugs a major tune up includes a lot more,,,plugs, wires, dist cap, rotor ect....... this is something you can definately DIY........it all just depends on what kind of plugs you want to put in the car and your budget........if you want some really good plugs that will last you can go with denso iridium or an NGK plug....... you're looking at about 10-12 dollars a plug with those you can go as cheap as a 2-3 dollar bosch plug, it all just depends on how much money you want to spend as well as the quality of components you want in your car..... personally i would NEVER pay someone to do a tune up.......its just to easy to DIY.
