Funny Smell

I drove an LS 400 today and I smelled anti-freeze inside the car???Is the heater core bad? If so is that expensive or any ideas of the cause????

your heater core could be leaking. i dont know how much it costs though

if this is the car you are talking aboutt for 11,900 i wouldn't even mess with it..............could be a number of things, but the smell of coolant is NEVER good

could be boiling over, heater core, blown head gasket, ect..........i wouldn't touch that car for 11,900

altough it could be a very simple fix, but THEY would have to fix it(and you need to know what the cause was) b/f you could even consider buying it
