Sparkplug Replacement ,how To 400 Ls

My wife's 1995 LS400 , bought new, has 75K on it. I think it might be a good idea to change the plugs. Dealer quoted $350. I don't know if this included the wiring, cap and rotor.

Has anybody done this themselves and if so how hard was it?

I've worked on cars a lot and even cross threaded a plug or two on an al. head. I would prefer to skip that bit on the Lexus.

Thanks

Silver hit the jackpot with that tutorial.......

it is excellent.

Two additional items if this is not in the tutorial:

1) Take a vacuum around all the plugs BEFORE you remove them. This helps to ensure that no dirt will fall into the pistons when you remove the plugs.

2) Torque setting is 13 ft lbs. Make sure you keep the socket/extension in line with the plug and hand tighten first. Then snug to 13 ft lbs; then check torque again before moving on.....

I'm sure the dealer doesn't include new wires and such. The plugs will cost you less than $100
