'99 Gs300 Serpentine Belt

Just curious...got little under 39k miles on the odometer but whenever it rains I hear a very faint squeak under the hood...I think it may be the serpentine belt but I just want to know how long these belts are supposed to last

I had mine changed at around 80K miles. I changed mine according to the owners manual by my mechanic since the dealer charges an arm and a leg. Depending on weather conditions and how you drive, it all depends. Better bring it in to get checked out by your mechanic to make sure its nothing major. Do you hear it when you go over bumps? It could be your suspension (ie bushing/control arm)

Serpentine belt on an 99-01 LS400 is changed @ 90K..........

You should be able to lift the hood and get a good Idea where the sounds coming from..........
