Seat Warmer Issue

Hello everyone. I just bought a 2004 GX 470 (9700G) and noticed the seat warmer on the driver side will not cool down after it's been turned off. Anyone else have this problem? I would like to go into the dealership with some ammunition. Thanks for the great posts.

I havn't has a chance to use my seat warmers yet. Mine gets parked in a nice warm garage every night.

That's pretty funny. It got down to 45 degrees the other night when I was driving home and thought I would turn on the warmers for effect. I couldn't wait until January when it might actually drop below freezing in Austin. Now, whenever I turn on the GX, the driver side seat becomes lukewarm even when the switch is turned off. I've tried cycling the switch on/off qucikly but the temp stays the same. Maybe my rear-end is still recuperating from my virgin "seat warmer" experience."

Update: Took the seat warmer issue to Lexus and they replaced the driver seat warmer switch. Cool seats once again. I'm not sure about the seats not warming enough but mine warm up just fine for our extremely mild climate.

Thanks for the post. Both my wife and I have sworn that the heaters were on even though the switches were off. I'm due for my 15,000 mile service next week. I'll definitely have them check/replace the switches.
