calmone Posted April 29, 2023 Share Posted April 29, 2023 the top is up, but the mechanism apparently did not fully finish, as the windows will not "one touch" operate and the red light is still on. worse, it will not move (go down) either, the top just does not move and the "beeping" continues when the car is put into gear. from what i see here the cause could be a switch, a hinge alignment issue or a defective hinge. i see the cost is shown to be 5-7 thousand from dealers on the forum. i am not certain which part may remedy the issue (the left hinge is apparently mentioned often). does any one here have experience with this issue and what can you suggest a solution, and if possible the part number of a possible replacement part which will cure the problem. i have the hinge part number, it is almost impossible to find new (app. $3,200), used re available on e bay. obviously i am in dire need of help.
