molocka12 Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 I have a loud & steady vibration noise from I believe the door mirrors but not 100% sure at first it sounded like a leaf in the vents. The faster I am moving the louder it becomes. Any body has or had this problem who can help. I would be grateful.
dougjohn2 Posted October 3, 2004 Posted October 3, 2004 Just a noise? Meaning, you're not feeling a vibration? Can you isolate the noise to where it sounds like it's coming from? I know the mirrors on the 450 get loose from time to time, but I've never heard of them producing a noise from vibration.
molocka12 Posted October 3, 2004 Author Posted October 3, 2004 It is a noise that sounds like something is vibrating from outside. I actually do not feal a vibration. I am guessing the mirrors cause if I open the drivers side or passenger side window the noise becomes more pronounce.
gx470owner Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I had the same problem. Check the roof rack brackets, just hand tighten them.
molocka12 Posted November 27, 2004 Author Posted November 27, 2004 Interesting possibility the roof racks. I tighten them up a bit but not the problem area. I am leaning towards the bug shield & will remove it tomorrow to see if that is the culprit. If not I am at a loss as to where else it could be coming from. The problem of the vibration noise turn out to be the bug shield.
