humanoid Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 I'm a noob to this site, but not a noob to Yotas. My wife has a '93 GS300 and wanted to change the headlight bulbs out becuase they're yellowing pretty bad for some reason, was thinking swapping them out for Silverstars. Anyhoo, how in the heck do you remove the screws that hold the harness in place. The same goes form my dad's '98 LS400. There is no way to get a screwdriver in that tight space is there? And yes, I tried doing a search, but couldn't find the info I was looking for. Thanks in advance!
nismO to TRD Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 u don't need nothing but your hands to get them off. all u do is turn the bulb untill it locks out of place. don't worry if it feels like it might break... it's probably locked in there good.
dcfish Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Silverstars are the way to go , I just changed my high and low beams out , All you have to do is turn the socket about a third of a turn , You are supposed to disconnect the wires to the socket first then remove but I find that it is not neccesary although disconnection puts 0 stress on the wires and connector. Hope this helps. B)
