Water In Driver's Side?

Recommended Posts

I have noticed lately that my driver's side matts are wet. I checked to see where the leaks are coming from and have had no luck. I just recently had a problem where he ac dump tube was leakig in my mercedes into the car. I am wondering if it is the same thing with the lexus. Can anyone direct me on how to get to that tube so that I can make sure its clear of debris and crud. Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my 98 GS400. It only happens when the air has been on. Anyone out there with a suggestion? It's awful HOT in FL not to run the air.

I have water on my driver's side floorboard as well. The evaporator drain was not discharging any water, so I took to the dealer to see if it was a clogged drain. It turns out that the evaporator housing is cracked. The original estimate was $1800 for parts and $950 for labor. After some discussion with the shop, they agreed to do it for the cost of the labor. The car is a 98 GS400, has 56,500 miles, and spends all its time when not being driven, in the garage. No sitting outside where the extremes of hot and cold affect the plastic, etc. I don't understand why this part should fail so early on a car that has not got that much ageing and has been very well cared for. :o However, I'm grateful the shop cut me a deal on the repair. :P Hope this helps track down your problem.
