Engine Coolant Flush....

I replaced engine coolant. On the engine coolant reservior, it says add 6 litres of coolant through filler hole (front of the engine). And about 4 liters in through reservior while idling the engine. I could not find "filler hole". So, I put about 4 litres of clean water and ran enigne and flushed it, drained it. Then, I put through reservior about 8 litres in total of coolant. It won't take anymore of it. But as per instructions on coolant reservior, it should take about 10 litres...after putting 8 liters, it is full now. Any idea??

Also, does any one have instructions on how to replace spark plugs and wires?

It is time for me to change timing belt but I would rather try doing myself instead of paying butt load of money at workshop. Does anyone has any instructions?

Thanks!

take each post one question at a time...... ;)

all of those questions you asked require long posts and a lot of detail and explaining from the members.

the spark plug changing is very simple. the hardest part is removing all the covers and such to get to them

on the right side remove all the plastic coverings (i believe 14mm) to get to where the spark plugs are located (its pretty mcuh self explanatory, you'll see which pieces to remove when u get in there

on the left side you need to remover the air box and all of its components leading up to the throttle body.......then remove some more plastic covers including the cover on top of the throttle body, (you'll see all of them)

if you are changing the ignition wires, i do them one at a time, as to not get the firing order mixed up (or you can take some tape and lable them)........but if you have a wiring diagram you can do all of them at once.

just take out the old plugs and install new ones, be sure to put some anti-sieze on the threads of the new plugs, as to make for easy removal next time.

I agree, you should ask one question at a time! Anyway, here are some answers...

Coolant flush how to: http://www.lexls.com/coolant.html

Spark plug and ignition wire replacement: http://www.lexls.com/tuneup.html

My friend Lextreme does have a DIY timing belt article but I recommend taking it to a professional, it is a very difficult procedure: http://www.lextreme.com/timing.htm
