Remote Key - Where Can I Buy A Spare Remote Key?

I DO have a working remote key for my 1994 LS400 and want to have a second remote key just in case I loose this one.

Do I have to spend the $200+ to get a programmable remote key if I have an existing programmed key?

Where can I buy a cheap programmable master key?

the key itself is cheap, programming it is what costs money and only dealer can do that since they have to check the your specific code in the database. you give them vin number and they will program your keys. you also have to show the ID and registration or title with your name on it.

Are you sure? I don't have a chip in my key because it is a 1994, but it does have a remote. I have found key programming instructions online, but not a cheap key.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am looking for a remote master key, but don't need the chip since I have a remote that works that I can use to program the other key.

Do I have any other options or do all blank remote keys cost $200?
