NUKUM Posted May 16, 2003 Posted May 16, 2003 ES 300 HAS WATER IN THE OIL AND OIL IN THE WATER THE CAR HAS NOT RAN HOT IM PRAYING THAT ITS A HEAD GASKET AN NOTHING ELSE ANY REPLY TRULY APP.
AWJ Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 Sounds like a head gasket. That is a big price job. Do a compression test to make sure. Drain all oil and coolant, flush and refill. Then do a compression test. That's what I would do.
SKperformance Posted May 17, 2003 Posted May 17, 2003 very good advise but you already know you have a leak where is the only question so if you are going to change fluids you could try bar's stop leak or do it properly and find the leak by stripping the head off sorry i know you would have liked a simpler answer but i think you also knew that it was going to cost big money when you first saw the problem later :P
AWJ Posted May 19, 2003 Posted May 19, 2003 You know what I would do.... Drain all fluids - refill with the stop leak stuff. Then sell the car. Shady, I know but - we've got to cut our loses. Better yet, take it to a dealership and trade it in. Don't sell it to some poor unwitting person. Or don't listen to my shifty !Removed!. Nevermind.
lex Posted June 18, 2003 Posted June 18, 2003 Don't use the stop leak stuff. I tried it and all it did was clog up my radiator and I ended up having to replace it. :(
