92Lex Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 my ls400's moonroof only slides back a few inches. im pretty sure its not the switches because apparently its in working condition for it to slide back...right? should i just take the moonroof apart and clean/lube the rails? im a smoker so it sucks not to have a working moonroof. thanks.
VMF Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 try to spray some WD40 on the rails b4 u dissasemble the whole setup. this solved the problem in my case.
UCF3 Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 Don't use WD40 on your moonroof rail to clean. Our dealership uses BG Products. I'd recommend the intake cleaner to clean your rails. It has the correct amount of lubricants and moisture to clean anything.
VMF Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 oops sorry, not the DW40, i mean i used liquid wrench. got it in the autozone
