gipsonmt Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 I've searched and read the FAQ and these topics were covered but I'm looking for more specifics.... I have an ES 300, 93 model and have a couple things to fix. 1) I'm looking for a replacement bulb number for the fog light (yellow) and where I could get one. Do you have to go through Lexus or is it a bulb you can buy from any auto bulb maker? 2) The needles on all four gauges are out. The backlights work it's just the gauge needles themselves. According to FAQ's it looks as though the only way to get them working is to just replace them with a) a completely new set of gauges from lexus or b)get a new one from a junkyard or ebay.... any one have any estimates on the cost of those two options? Any other fixes out there? Thanks in advance
steviej Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 the fog lights are H3 bulbs and can be obtained at any Autoparts store. It is the lens that makes them yellow, not the bulb. The gauge needles are a common problem with early model ES's. There are several companies online that specialize in bringing them back to life. I know of this one Also, check out this pinned topic in the General Maintenance forum. steviej
gipsonmt Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 thanks for the info...my bad, I shoulda looked at the fog lights before asking an obvious question. Lextech site looks pretty useful, I'll look into getting them fixed. Thanks again
