mmvasu
What is reasonable for the RX300's miles per gallon of gas (standard or super high octane)? I get only about 15-16 miles with standard gas.
BROE
I recently purchase a used 2001 RX300 with 26000 miles. With the AC off, I get almost 24 MPG on my 90 miles round trip to and from work each day. About one forth of the distance is city driving, the balance is expressway driving at speeds of 65/70 MPH. With the AC on, the MPG drops 1-2 MPG. I am a big fan of cruise-control and use it as much as possible. One of the selling features for me in purchasing the RX300 was the fuel economy! I had been driving a 1996 Olds Bravada and would average about 20 MPG with that. At 196,000 miles and some recent and first major repairs, I decided it was time to retire it even though it runs great and uses no oil and move on to an RX300.
