Does egnine flush help prevent oil sludge problem? Anyone doing engine flush anytime - just as a maintenance item? I was told by my collegue owing another luxury SUV that engine flush helped him increase mileage and gave more comfortable engine feel. I owe RX300 - 2000 with 90K miles. I am seriously consdiering engine flush as a preventive measure.

Last weekend I got oil change and tire rotation on my RX300 (year 2000). Suddenly the mechanic came out with one tire and showed me the (original Lexus) rim of the tire. One of the five pokes in the rim had a clean crack from end to end. The mechanic turned over the tire and showed the crack on the other side also. I was appalled to see one full poke completely cracked !!! My RX300 (year 2000) is a well maintained, garaged car with hardly 65,000 miles in six and a half years. Has any one come across similar problem?

What is reasonable for the RX300's miles per gallon of gas (standard or super high octane)? I get only about 15-16 miles with standard gas.

yes, thats what I (and probably many others) do for my IPOD's power cable The trouble I faced is with this Bluetooth device that DIRECTLY plugs in to the lighter - there is no cable. Looks like I will end up buying an extension cable for the lighter outlet in the back of the central console. With six years of using Lexus, I still wonder why they do not allow the front lighter to be used for 12V power plug-ins!?!
