I attempted to travel from NY to Atlantic City NJ, the NAV insisted on taking me though rural country roads. Everytime I would stay on the Garden State PKWY, it would try to route me off. I did not see any options for rural vs highway. I tried quick, short, no po's. Happend as I got close to home too. Usually it guides me very well. Any clue why all of a sudden this would happen? SW03ES Posted June 27, 2004 Share Posted June 27, 2004 Set a destination then go to menu, edit route to Route Preferences. In the route preferences you should have a list of types of roads you can allow or detour, Interstates is the top one, toll roads is under that.
