ya i mean i haven't really had any problems (with a speaker wire touching each other while doing subwoofers...my bad >_<) but other wise ya. Just get good tires for the snow. the wheels i had before SUCKED horribly for the snow haha. But ya i have heard of people taking this engine block and putting it in other cars like Supras and actually a mustang before. I think they average rated this car to 200k which is amazing but thats only wat i have read on some sights. but otherwise mine drives like the day it was bought from my previous owner(a.k.a grandpop lol )

well no worries now i just figured out wat the problem was. the two pin connector for the old subwoofer was shorting out, soo i cut it and crimped the wire to my subwoofers in the back. Ya what the place was talking about was there are no pre amps in the back of the headunit so they cant take the speaker from there, however, im not sure if you have a subwoofer hanging in the back of yours like i did. My subwoofer foam deteriorated and i was going to install bigger subs anyway. So what i did was i looked for an amp that had speaker level inputs. What speak level inputs let you do is take speaker wire run in from the sub woofer or existing speaker wire and just put it right into the back of the amp. You don't need the two RCA cables for left and right audio and it the amp will automatically turn on when signal is being sensed. Alls i had to do was run the power cable through the fire wall and to the battery and it sounds AMAZING. I have a Kenwood amp that i bought from crutchfield. Alright well i just got everything drilled and set for my stereo. I was using the factory pioneer stereo with my subwoofers and for the amp to turn on it needed a remote wire. So what i did is i used the remote wire and a wire tap under the fuse box to connect the the remote turn on wire from the amplifier to the back. I had the radio on for like 2 mins and the suddenly it turned off when my key was turned past the acc and my gauges started blinking. i though i blew a fuse but i looked and nothing was blown. I removed the key and then put it back in and everything started back up but there is no sound coming out of the radio. i really want to fix this fast because i havent even finished installing the subwoofers. did i blow something by chance? It was the Pioneer system in the 91 LS400. Please can anyone help me :( :( :( :( :(

idk you might just wanna call your dealer or something. if you cant get it started well then thats sorta big problem lol

hmm i think i know what your talking about. did you ever get the alternator replaced? An alternator was going bad on my moms 2000 Ford Expedition. You could tell because it was harder and harder to start the car each day. Also when you started it, it suddenly sounded like there was a turbo charger underneath the hood when you pressed the gas. Also, the headlights would get brighter when you also applied more throttle. We didn't change the battery and its the only problem we have had with that car (with over 100k on an american car WOOT WOOT!) so check the alternator or could possibly be a bad battery

there could be a short of some kind that shorting out the signal to the starter and also messing with your clock ?

haha im not saying its impossible but ya i don't believe it till i see pics (like the 600hp lexus lol) i mean im gettin new rims put on my lexus and my subwoofers installed today or tomorrowy (hopefully for my bday today :D )but im deff posting up pics when im done and all for constructive criticism. but ya i mean most of the electronics are off and it would had to have been due to a leak of some sort (or if you left a burning cigar inside your car )

ya i would run premium through the car. I have a 91LS400 and its only had premium and you can tell because it still runs beautifuly. Ya the extended warrenty i don't think is needed. The only problem i have had with my 91 with 101k miles on it is forgetting to add power steering fluid (which is dextron IV or tranny fluid....odd but its wat it called for) and its quiet and responsive. Also what SW03ES deff put it on power. I have mine usually on power (my dad likes to turn it of when he drives it >_<) but you will notice a deff boost in takeoff and it will keep you in your powerband longer so it won't constially have to change gears if your speeding up and slowing down ( however keep in mind this will lower your gas mileage) but congrats! i wish mine was a few years newer haha but it still love it!

is it something with the key then? because if everything works and then you saying it just totally shuts of like no power going to it, it could be the last turn of the key that there is a problem with.

I'm dyin' ova heeya trying to figure the consequences of this. well i mean whats the worst they can do? you have called them (hopefully) and your trying to take certian precautions to make sure it gets reset. what have you done so far? I have a call in to Lexus Cust. Serv. - 1.800.255.3987. I spoke to a gentleman that is going to "research" the issue and reply back to me in 48 hours. I'll keep the group posted. ya see no need to freak out :D they've got you doccumented and everything. you'll prob have to take it back to the shop (wonder how much thats gonna cost )

haha ohh sorry i didn't know if it was recent. i have sorta looked under my car nd i sorta know mayb waht your talking about haha but am i allowed to just go no muffler if were to get the car inspected or do i need like a hiflow muffler ?
