sorry for the sarcastic response guys. i do appreciate all the feedback on the wheels. posotive or negative. i just wanted some opinions given the fact i was undecided on what to get
-
No kidding, Randy...I really need to work on that. I apologize once again. :(
I tried to not post because I really didn't have anything nice to say, but OP seemed to really need some input!
;)
Im a fan. I was never big on black wheels either, but I have seen a few examples that are to my taste. I like these. Go for it brotha.
What are they running in terms of price. How big are you wanting to go?
-
i never really liked black wheels as well, but i thought chrome on a silver car would be a bit much. im going to go with 20's...they run around 6k rims, and tires...Asanti's are not cheap
-
So you wait exactly 40 minutes, see no responses, and can't help but get sarcastic? Yeah I've got some input.....them wheels are funny lookin' and you're impatient.......
Listen SRK...don't you know who Clear2Close is? When he barks, all must tremble and respond. I recommend getting an RSS feed set up so you know when to jump.
ooh u got jokes huh :chairshot:

thanks for all your input

weirdest thing happened today...i have a 99 GS300, when i got in my car this morning to go to work it would not start! it sounded like it wanted to kick over, but it wouldnt. it took about 4 tries of 30 seconds plus (cranking normally each time) before it decided to kick over. when it finally started it was running great like usual. no check engine lights...etc. when i left the office this evening i got in and it started right up, no problems. have any of you guys ever experienced this? if not does anyone know what it could possibly be?
i could only come up with the following 2 explanations:
1. i have not driven the car since friday, and im in NY...its been very cold out.
2. i have always run 93 octane, but on the way home from work on friday the gas station i went to ran out of super, and plus so i threw $10 regular in.
would any of those 2 reasons have an effect on what i experienced? anyones input would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
FYI, Lexus states this is normal!
kind of a strange thing to hear!
the service manager stated that "the compound" the fuel injectors are made out of starts to crystalize, not freeze...crystalize in cold temps. and given the fact the car was not started in 3 days, he says "it will take a min or two of cranking to start"
i'm no moron when it comes to cars, i have a 9 second mustang i built completely by myself...i have never heard anything like this before
I am have a similar problem, might be the crank position sensor or wire harness.
as i stated above, lexus says this is normal in extremely cold temps when the car has not been started for 2 or more days

check my old posts on a DIY walk through on how to replace this part
hey sakataj,
i'm experiencing a similar problem although the heating system is re-directing air everywhere except the floor vents. alot of other cars i've owned the air was re-directed to the appropriate vents via vacuum lines. i'm kind of in the dark about this "servo", pertaining to what it is. also, which servo would it be for the situation i'm experiencing?
thanks!
guess u just didnt bother to check my old posts....?the mode servo is the one that directs airflow!

As per previous posts i have reviewed, it states uncertainty as to which servo does what
I stand corrected! I found your post you were referring to. Thanks for the input!

I hit 181 on my 06 R1. Suprisingly pretty much stock w/ full exhaust and a Power CommanderII
once you hit 150 you get hesitant to continue given the fact MPH's start climbing EXTREMELY slow...like 1MPH per second!
tell me about it....i had a arata exhaust/power commander/bmc filter/and a few other things when i hit that! i guess my biggest hesitation is once your part 140 your dead ALMOST no matter what! do you'll even have a governor nemore? or do u still get the 185-186 cutt off?
the governer was never removed, although it's to my understanding the power commander compensates for it, and cancels it out. to be honest with you, i will never know lol...i dont plan on taking it up to those speeds again.

Hey, new to the board here. Do you still have any of these? I just picked up my GS today and the radio is having this issueI have a 2000 GS 300, no major problems, but recently the bulbs/LEDs that back light the stereo LCD burned out. I am not familiar on how to disassemble the stereo in the GS, so I do not know what actually lights it, but I was hoping I could replace it myself. And I ideas on how to get the face plate off and what is behind there would be greatly appreciated. I read elsewhere that it is surface mount LEDs which back light LCD displays, but am not sure if this is true in my case. Thanks in advance.Do you need the lcd display ? I may have them.
thanks
