  1. Blake,

I'll be changing those strut rod cushions/bushings this coming weekend assuming that the parts arrive in time.  They cost me $38.76 each from the Lexus dealer.  I haven't checked the manual but I'll probably have to get the allignment checked after since I think there's a caster adjustment nut there.

    :)

Have you changed your strut rod bushings yet? I've been having the same issue with my 91 ls and noticed that when the wheel is raised off the ground I can wiggle the tire up and down. I tried to figure out how to replace the strut arm but couldn't. How did you do it? Did you have to take it to the dealer or use a special tool?

    Let me know!

    Thanks!

  2. Check this out...my 91 Ls (165k miles) seems to have been taken over by a demon. The battery seemed low, the radio started to fade in and out of operation and the windows were slow to operate. Then the dash lights began to flash on and off and the engin would not stay at an idle. The engin is self accelerating from 1k rpm to 2k rpm and back. I've lost all operation of the radio, side mirror adjustments, steering wheel adjustments and engin rpm. The only thing that is operating properly is the A/C.

What is going on???? I had the battery recharged and they returned.

    Help!

Any suggestions on what is causing this?

  3. 1991 LS with less than 160k miles. Recently I've noticed my car vibrates while at a stop light. It seems to be tied to the transmission because as soon as I place it in nuetral the vibration stops. It seem to be happening only later in the day after the car warms up. Had the tranny flushed about 12-18 months ago.

Suggestions as to why this is happeing all the sudden and suggestions as to the remedy?

    Thanks!

  4. The modle is a 91 LS 400.

Thanks for the info on the possiablility of it being the power steering pump. I may very well be. As far as what's wobbly: it's not the pully, it's the item that the fan bolts to. I've removed the fan and attempted to remove the item that it bolts to, however, it seems to be part of the "power steering pump" or water pump. Not sure.

    Suggestions?

    Thanks again for your feedback!

    Steve

  5. My radiator fan seems to be shaking and making noise. I've taken the fan off and the trouble seems to be the part that the fan bolts to. Is it the water pump? Anyway, It may be bearings.

Does anyone have an idea what it is exactly and how hard is it to fix?

    Steve
