the search function is pitiful. I tried "door lock not working" and "door lock not functioning" and they return an error because the word "not" is not more than 4 letters. The only thing I can get to return a search is "door lock", and I get a million unrelated topics.

2002 GS300 Right Rear door lock won't function at all with automatic locking functions. Works manually only. Faulty lock? Disconnected wire? I don't think there would be a separate fuse for each door . . . . Any suggestions as to were to look? How much trouble is it to remove/replace the door panel?

Anybody know of a good place to find OEM type Lexus parts? I'm specifically looking for more interior wood, and a wood steering wheel. I found a site, in Japan, but they only deal on Japan soil.

Region is right. I'll try to do city first and see what happens. Salem Rd has been in Conyers, Ga a LONG time. It's a main road that crosses I-20. The Nav map shows it and names it, but will not give me a Conyers city. That's weird.

Just bought a 2002 GS300 with Navigation System. The system will not find this particular location. It will not give me the correct city to choose from. Can someone please put this address into their system and see if it comes up correctly? 2185 Salem Rd Conyers, GA 30013 Once Salem Rd is entered it will not give me a Conyers, Georgia city choice. I don't like that you don't have an option to enter the city manually. Is this a Lexus DVD problem or just a problem with my particular car?

Well, is the ML system in a 2002 GS300 really any better than the standard stereo? I've never heard of this guy. I know Bose is good but overpriced, what about ML? I just saw where ML is part of Harman Specialty Group. Is the the Harman of Harman-Carden?

Well, didn't get much help here . . . . bought it anyway. Has been repainted somewhere along the way. Not a very good job, either. But, I think I can work on it and smooth it out. IF they put on enough clear coat. Taking it this week to an independent Lexus guy to get it checked. I'm just not real comfortable with CarMax. They're still a "used car dealer" even though they seem to have a good reputation.

I've never owned a Lexus, but from what I've heard they're supposed to be pretty good cars. So, I've been trying to read up on them. We've found this 02 GS300 at CarMax that is nice and fairly reasonable. Never liked dealing with used car dealers but have had friends who bought from CarMax with no problems. And, they're the only place who has a GS300 that NOT White, silver or black! Drove it last night and liked it. Seems to be a little bigger car that our E320. I did notice there seemed to be more road noise than our car. Anyway, I've seen there are two problems I need to be concerned about: 1. Ball joints. The car has 95K+. Is there a TSB from Lexus that requires replacement at a certain mileage? Are the '02 ball joints any better than the older ones (last longer)? 2. Timing belt. Again, when should these be changed and should it be part of a regular service (TSB)? Are there any other issues I should be looking for? By the way, this one has the Nav System. Do they have to be updated regularly, and if so is there a charge from Lexus for this or can it be done aftermarket? Please try to answer soon. It's 8:26am in Atlanta (an snowing) and I was wanting to go back today to purchase the car.
