HSK, How did you know to get the LCD from Pioneer? I have a 1996 ES300 with the same problem and would like to rebuild my climate control unit like you did. Who, here in the forum, would know if my 1996 is the same as what HSK bought for their 1998. I could ask the lexus dealer but all they care to do here is replace the whole uit new and I have better use for the over $400 they would want. Funny you lost the same bolt and clips I did while removing the air vent...........

Hi JT,........Well to answer your question my wife's 1996 ES300 has 285,000 miles on it with NO MAJOR repairs at all. Tires, brakes and oil changes is all it's cost us. I also put in Lucus injector cleaner once a month and change oil (regular Penzoil) every 3000 miles. Hope you have asmuch good luck. :)
