  1. On Thursday night of last week on the way home my Check Engine Light came on. There were no problems with temp, oil pressure or general operation of the vehicle so I scheduled the 80k service appointment :-(

    A friend at work has a had held diagnostic computer which we hooked up to my 99-LX470 and the scan reported error code p-155 02 sensor heater circuit malfunction bank 2 sensor 1.

    His guess was that the oxygen sensor on the drivers side of the exaust manifold has gone bad. He get the light turned off but it has come back while driving home last night?

    Does anyone else have any addition insight into this problem?

  2. Good advice! I have a Porsche (1982 - 928) and a 1999 LX 470. I use each according to the trip I plan to take :-)!

    Variables are weather , terrain and what I have to tow :-?

    OFF ROAD is for the LX. Going fast is for the Porsche.

    No dis-respect to either type of vehicle ... they are both made according to different standards :cheers: :D !

  3. This looks like some of the stuff that DougJohn would be involved in :cheers: :D !

    The answer to the question posed above is NOT! The cayenne will do the speed thing better but I do not think a stock H1 could do some of the things that are displayed in those pictures :unsure: :chairshot:

  4. I have a boat that weigh's about 5000 pounds loaded with fuel and my 99 LX470 pulls it pretty well but it does seem to struggle in reaching highway speeds. I have a K&N air filter run K&N Oil filter with Mobile 1 synthetic oil only in my LX470. I would not want to add a lot more weight than the boat at 5000 pounds.

  5. Andrew have you installed a new radio or any new electronic equipment? if so put a volt meter on the battery and see the impact of connection / disconnection of the newly added device to determine if the additional load / constant draw of power may be killing your battery? Best of luck as I had this same problem in a 928 Porsche. It was a dvd player I added :-{

  6. You may also want to try a junkyard. They have sattelite up & donw link capabilities these days and are able to find parts nationwide very quickly. A 450 or Landcruiser that had a front end impact would still have good jumper seats :-?

  7. Some cellular phones support voice dialing where you can store certian numbers with voice tag commands to allow hand free dialing. I do not know whether the Bluetooth module installed in the newer LX470's will allow the use of the functionality? There are third party bluetooth car kits that support voice dialing if the particular cellular phone you pair with the bluetooth car kit supports voice dialing. :cheers:
