Don't you mean the RX 400h wont be a 2009 mod, the RX 350 for 09 is already on showroom floors now and it hasn't changed. The pebble beach is an 09 mod and the website already shows the RX 350 as an 09 that is unchanged essentially from the 08 and we know the RX 350 body change therefore will have to be a 2010 mod in the spring of 2009 at the earliest and the hybrid version probably wont be out then till fall of 2009 as a 2010 mod or possibly even a year later for a 2011 model? The catalog I got last November says "'09 Lexus RX on the cover". I compare it to "'08 Lexus RX", the only difference is that Pebble Beach Edition only appreas in '09 catalog. As for RX400h, there's no change whatsoever (two pages spread). I believe this catalog is also downloadable from Lexus' website. As for the all-new RXh, let's just keep waiting while we enjoy the current one we already love too much.

Hi, everyone: Either with or without EV function, I simply love this vehicle. More importantly, my wife loves it, too! The auto-awake of the ICE doesn't bother me too much. But, it's louder than my previous RX330. Anyone else feels the same way? I also heard the hybrid system on the new models (LS, GS or even Highlander) has quiter operations, I believe the same will go to the new RX-h. We got ours about 4 months ago, still under 5K miles, average MPG is between 26 and 27. Hopefully, it will improve even more after total break-in like others claim. Cheers.

This is a excellent board, all members are very helpful and answers are informative. I am lucky to live in warm (hot) weather. Still, when the temp is above 80 and I back the RX400h up from garage to the drive way, the ICE would fire up. I guess an additional EV Mode Only Button would help? I think the new Highlander H has one, when are we going to see it on the RX-h?

I only know the all new RX-h will be out as a '09 model. For unknown reason, my sales gave me a '09 RX catalog instead the one for '08. RX-h remains the same everything and RX350 has Pebble Beach Edition which is selling now already.

I had a 330 before the current 400h. The two are similar on the inside and outside, but when it comes to powertrain, they are totally two different world.

Well, for ME, the 400h looks more like a "wife's" car. But, consider it might get replaced next year and she like the all new H.L.H., go for it now or wait for the new 400h (430h? 450h?) then decide.

I am curious also on what the most mileages of someone on the board has or heard of on the 400h.

Compared with rest of the lineup, RX has the oldest designs (besides GX). I believe all the updated features you see on the Lexus models will find their way to the all new RX coming out who-knows-when. More horse power, more fuel efficient, more room; less noisy in hybrid system, less money?

I noticed that when looking for me wife's '08 RX400h. The dealer had both '07 and '08 on the floor. The sales person did not know about the change (heck, he didn't even know how to read VIN on dashboard! Naturally, I didn't make the purchase there, but that's another story). As for the blue enblem in the front, it's the same one in the rear if it's FWD; on AWD model, it's a hollow "L" like before. This is a great board, by the way.
