  1. Of course, the warranty for brakes is 25000 so I am SOL. replaced under Warranty but its obvious the brakes use sub par materials I plan to get after market brakes I just had the 15000 mile service done (AT 18k) and my rear brakes were worn out and rotors shot. I questioned the dealer and they researched and told me it was from pulling a trailer. Apparently the RX 400h has a valve that apportions braking more to the rear when there is weight on the trailer hitch. my fronts were at 75% but the rears were almost gone. There was extreme pitting on the rotor (not gouges from worn out pads, just pitting from the heat). The dealer says that brakes are not covered at all. Does anyone have a PDF of the warranty? I seem to have misplaced my warranty info.
  2. I also haul a trailer quite often with my 400h. I hauled 2900 pounds yesterday with it. I live on a mountain and had absolutely no problem with the load. The 3500 towing capacity is part of why I bought the Lexus rather than an escape or other small SUV. I am curious though, why the hitch is only rated at 2000# when the vehicle is rated at 3500????? Does any one have any insight into why this is so??
  3. Unfortunately the Lockpick 3 DOES NOT work if you have the CD/DVD changer (IE Mark Levinson). I am hoping that Coastaltech will come up with a version for the levinson equipped vehicles.
  4. What exact options do you have on your 08 4ooh? I talked to Coastaltech a month ago and they said they were still working on a version that would work. I have the Mark Levinson system and Nav Do you have the Mark Levinson stereo? How does the Ipod Adaptor work? Please tell all of us more.
  5. Year: '08 Make: RX 400H MPG: 23 Location: Hawaii (oahu) Current Temp: 72 F % City Driving: 70 % Highway Driving: 30 Average MPH: 35-40 Gas Type: all 3 with No change in the MPG or Performance that I could see AWD/FWD: Front Wheel Drive A note on my horrid mileage. I live on top of a Mountain. Coming home my mileage drops every time. When leaving the house the car gets warm about the time I get to the bottom of the Mountain.
  6. It was the E-brake. Just needed a wee bit of adjustment. Now if I can only get the Nav to allow me to enter Addresses while moving!!
  7. Finally got it down to the dealer and they fixed an interior noise that I had not heard. It was the fabric where the rear cargo cover attaches. Then I took them for a drive and they finally heard the noise I was describing and said they think the Parking brake may not be properly adjusted so they are looking into that today. I am meanwhile driving an IS 250 around which is an OK car but I want my RX back. I have become quite spoiled with the bluetooth phone and the comfort, not to mention the gas mileage. I will update with the final solution later today when I get my RX back.
  8. Does anyone know if the dealer can add an ac outlet to a 2008 rx400h that has no rear seat entertainment? I wolud love to add an outlet to run my laptop. For my business I sometimes need to pull off somewhere and do some laptop workk and then email. I don't want the whole inverter. I am hoping the dealer can add in a factory outlet. Anyone tried this yet? Thanks
  9. I ave a brand new (600 Miles) RX 400h and when I hit certain bumps or the lane divider reflectors, I get a metallic clunk or "ping" from the drivers side (front I think). I have an appointment to get it checked out, but was wondering if anyone else has had this experience. I seems that the noise happens as the suspension releases/decompresses. Thanks.
  10. I got the Matador Red Mica because of all of the available 400h's in or coming to Hawaii, my choices were MRM, gold or Black in order to get the options I wanted (ML, Nav, Towing prep, etc)
