I agree there should be an over ride or front passenger function for the GPS. It is an ease of use issue and increasing functionality. Like any other driving liability, leave it to the driver to determine what they can handle. Liability and other factors can be released in a signed statement by the owner of record or on screen display at start up. Done, then we can all move our merry ways. With all the great features it sure would be nice to be able to use the GPS/Nav while the car is moving. Especially when you have a passenger in the car. When there is enough weight in the passenger seat then it is functional...or something. To pull over every time you need to make a change or find a new location, especially food is a major hassle. I would sign a release and let them change the setting if it was allowed. Speak up and let's be heard. Thank you.
