On 4/21/04, I was headed down the highway at 75mph in my 2002 LX470 when I suddenly head a loud screeching sound and the steering wheel locked up for 10 secs. After recovering control of the car at the high rate of speed I pulled over and found that there was oil/grease all over the front passenger tire rim of the vehicle. Took it to the dealership and they claimed "defective ball bearings" and replaced both front ball bearings, knuckle(?) repacked and sealed and sent me on my way. Two months later (6/30/04), a similar situation occured (other than the sterling wheel locked up for 15 secs this time), and I continue to live/tell. The car is now at the dealer and I am hesitant to ever drive the vehicle again (2 strikes). Has anyone had this occur to them? Has anyone had to deal with a "case file" at Lexus national? Also, any advice on lemon laws would be helpful.
