Does anyone have any advice on which pads to use? I heard that EBC pads wear quick if you dont use EBC rotors. Is this true?
  3. If your interested I saw a complete set of bilsteins on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...&category=33590 There should be about three days left on the auction. Check it out the starting bid is fairly lower than the store prices.

  8. I'm finally getting the hid's replaced. The first dealership I went to said they couldn't do anything for me so I just went to another dealership a bit further away and they were more than happy to replace them for me. Parts were ordered and i'm going back tuesday to have them installed.
  9. for the l-tuned shocks I payed $220 and for the eibachs I payed around $275 (dont remember exactly). How much would the bilstein set up cost?
  10. I have a 99 gs4 and noticed that my headlights both have condensation in them. Should the dealer replace them under warranty?
  11. Whats up guys and gals. I've had a 99 gs4 for a few months and the car has been running great. My only complaint is that every now and then the tranny shfts hard out of 3rd gear. It only happens when I gradually accelerate and the tranny shifts at around 3200 rpm. I was just wondering if anyone else with a gs4 has experienced the same and what the dealer has said to them. thanks
  12. whats up sypher. Good luck with the turbo and you should be able to take the vette. I also saw your rims ..they look hot. I finally got my springs and shocks, and am now saving to get my rims. What do you think about the stock 17's, or should I go aftermarket? Anyway goodluck with the car. later
  13. I WAS GOING TO PURCHASE A MASTER AND A VALET KEY FROM SEWELL.COM AND WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE KNEW HOW TO PROGRAM THE KEYS. ANY INFO IS APPRECIATED. THANKS
  14. wow , i didnt expect that. thanks. After I do the lowereing I'll purchase the other parts and get back to you. You must really enjoy what you do. People on the Lex forum or definitely not as stuck up as the people on the bmw forum (prior to the gs I had a 3 series with a complete m package).
  15. I'll let you know when I need the sways and lower brace. How much would you want to install them? Also what mods can I do to get some more power in the low end, i'm talking just minor beginer mods because cash is tight for now.
  16. your gs sounds hot..I still have a lot to do (rims, springs, shocks trd products,etc..). I'll get back to you after I bring the car to lexus. I heard they have great service and they honor their warranties. Thanks for the advice.
  17. The TRD sway bars and TRD lower chassis brace seem like a great idea but will I lose all the comfort or just the body roll. Is there any place that you recommend to purchase from and what do these parts normally cost? thanks gs4
  18. I purchased the gs from a dealer, but not a lexus dealer at the beginning of january. I'm in douglaston, queens. After I posted I decided to go to a lexus dealer and found out that I still have a few months left on the bumper to bumper warranty, since the gs was purchased on 9/3/99. I was told that it was probably just a faulty sensor. I hope that every component of the traction is covered by lexus because repairs could get expensive. How long have you owned your gs? any major problems or basically regular maintenance?
  19. I'm thinking about lowering my 99 gs400 using eibach pro springs and the L-tuned shocks. I have already ordered the l-tuned recelibrated ecu. All I am looking to do is make the syeering more responsive, lose the body lean but at the same time not to sacrifice the comfort. Any recommendations. If you like email me at candymi@aol.com. thanks
  20. I recently purchased a 99 gs400 in mint condition. I had my mechanic check it and was also going to bring it to the nearest lexus dealer. The traction seemed to be working fine. One day, after it had rained I accelarated a bit hard and the traction engaged as it should have, but when I came to a complete stop, released the brake pedal and gently pressed the accelarator the traction went on and I was barely pressing the gas. I could actually here the noise coming from the engne bay as lexus says I should hear. This happened a few times over and over again so I shut the car off for about half an hour. There were no service lights that went on exept the traction light that went after afew blinks. When I restarted it, the roads were still wet, the problem was not there until I once again pushed the car and activated the traction, as the wheels were actually spinning. Then the car would do the same thng when I would come to a full stop. Eventually it stops doing it but only for a little while. I'm a newbei and would appreciate any help or just a few comments on what you pros think.
