  4. What "undercoating stuff' do you use to treat the area(s)? Maybe I should try to be a little more proactive in areas that are known to rust first. Does running the car through the car wash more often in winter really make a difference in keeping the rust down?
  5. Western Canada here, Northern Alberta. I had a small amount of rust above the rear left wheel well. Just grinded it out, filled with fiberglass, smoothed with bondo, and repainted. Good as new. :) 1991 LS 400 =D No salt on the roads here.. lots of snow thou. :) I did the same thing on my chicagoan ls400! the rust was in the same place. weird. Places to look out for rust, 1, underbody 2 rear wheel wells 3 front fenders I have a small rust "bubble" under the paint developing in the same place, above the driver side rear too, and nowhere else! Strange.
  6. I have the same question; Where is a good location to hide my spare key?
  7. This is the stuff/procedure that I would recommend. It is a filler and a dye. Cracked leather will not dye uniformly, you need to fill in the cracks with an elastic filler and then dye area or entire panel for a uniform look. I saw another product on Ebay that was US sourced and was specific to the Lexus LS400 gray interior that I have, but I cant find it anymore. Same type of stuff, a filler and a dye, sealer. Ebay item 140166319788 Thanks for the idea, I am going to try it. Thanks again everyone for the help. How about a few pics before and after and a review of the product. Ill do it if it works. You got it, I will post before and after pictures.

  9. Thanks for the reply. The cracks don't go all the way through, they are just on the surface. What kind of dye would I use?
  10. ROBERT, Yea that's what I'm looking for, "filling/hiding" the cracks. If the white in the cracks could be colored somehow it would help hide the cracks I am hoping. Lexol has great products but it want fix craked leather.
  11. My 1990 LS400 is in great shape, but the gray leather seats, front and back, are starting to show some cracking. Is there a product that will "fill" the fine white cracks with a gray color to hide them?
  12. Thanks for the reply. That's what I thought, I am being picky then, everything else is so quiet and solid. I just thought that the side windows don't sound as loud closed as the moon roof does closed so there must be a problem with it. The shade cuts down the noise nicely.
  13. 1990 LS400 199,797 Runs and feels like it has only 19,787
  14. I have a 90' LS400 and love it! My question is; How much road noise coming from the moon roof is normal? There seems to be excess road noise coming from the moon roof when the sun shade is open. When I close the sun shade it all but goes away. It looks like all the rubber seals are ok. Am I just being too picky?
