How difficult was it to change your own oil & filter? I'm getting ready to change my oil at 8K miles. I plan to use Quaker State 5-20W oil and have purchased an oil filter element from a Lexus dealership.

I paid $9.49 for the filter at a Lexus dealer and plan to use Quaker State 5-20W at my 8,000 mile oil change. Had the free 5,000 mile oil & filter change at the dealer and they did a sloppy job. I plan to change the oil every 3K going forward.
