  1. Did a search and couldn't find what I was looking for... So... I recently purchased a 92 SC 300. Upon inspection, I noticed a few spark plug wires had lost a few pieces of insulation. So I had the parts guy at work order a new set for me... Needless to say after looking at the new wires I had the wrong ones But I thought I would go ahead and change the plugs at least. I started on the first plug, and found that it felt like it was really tight, and didn't seem to be loosening up at all, so I quit trying to remove the plug and called it a day... So has anyone had any problems removing the plugs, and any possible remedies??? Does the engine need to be warm or cold before removing the plugs? I had thought that with an aluminum head it should be cold? Thanks in advance with any assistance.
  2. New Lexus owner here B) Just picked up a 92 SC 300... It has 165.000 miles on it... The car is black with a tan interior, fairly good shape. The interior could use a little work, but for it's age, I felt that it was in great condition. I am the second owner, bought from a "little old lady" that hasn't been using it very much lately. Seems to drive well, and feel pretty tight. I plan to do a few upgrades. Tires and wheels will be the first priority, and then I'll repaint it (I am an Automotive paint tech by trade, and have been for the past 24 years) I paid 3000... So far the only problems that I have are the lights in the needles... The fuel gauge lights up, the tach has about a 1/4" of light, the speedo and fuel gauge have no light at all... Looks like I'll be contacting Lextech ;) The factory Pioneer stereo no longer works. When I bought the car, it had an aftermarket deck and amp that I removed to give back to the previous owner. Seems that the Car Audio shop that did the install removed the factory amp and CD changer :o I have a complete Audio system from another vehicle that I will be installing after doing a little fab work on kick panel pods, and the dash opening... So far, I am very pleased with the SC 300 B)
