  1. Ok. My right side looking down. I will look for it tomorrow morning. Any special tools to open it? Or, is it just simple quick turns with thumbs. Thanks. --Anita
  2. I am a newbie, can someone tell me where is the Nav DVD Disc for a 2007 RX350? I cannot seem to find the information anywhere...Thx. Anita.
  3. Thanks for the info. The price for both disc are the same. LOL "stealership", I want to do it myself...is there a install CD or just some on-screen display button sequence that I need to follow to install the Generation5 DVD? Can you please point me to the right direction? I do want to following the facts. I have some SONY DVD+R DL "AccuCORE", but I can go out and get some Verbatim as you described. What sort of program did you use? (assuming you did this before successfully) Will Alcohol 120% work? Or did you use some other software? Thanks again. Anita
  4. I recently notice a few address on my LS430 isn't showing up like it supposed to on my RX350. After inquiring with dealership, they said it will cost me $450 for the disc and $89 for the install. I own both vehicles and both discs. Is there a way to backup the RX350 nav disc and use it on my LS? Will Alcohol 120/double-layer dvd disc combination work for backing up the DVD? Thanks, Anita.
  5. Got it home just before the New Year. A 2007 RX350 w/ Nav, Prem Package, Cargo mat, Wheel Locks for $42,271 (not the best price), but I would consider it a fair deal. Thanks for all the help here. :-)
  6. Everyone is different. If it works for you, then that's just fine. You probably don't care how much over invoice. That's a true sign of being rich. You probably make it back in a few hours. For me, however, I don't make nearly as much, so I have to save. :-)
  7. I have tried to put anything personal out of this discussion, so I don't know why you make such issue personal attack with "You definately don't deserve to make the money you're making..." Hey, you know the guy standing at the end of the freeway exit with a sign "Pls help", Oh, he works really hard too and let's all just give them a $100 bill. I know time is money and I will weigh my option, but I don't make $6k a weekend. So, I will drive. My point with the Scion is that they can have $2000 over invoice for Lexus, but make it mixed across dealerships. And, every dealership charges the same, then we don't have to play this kind of games. That's all. Just got a call from my local dealor, looks like they have a change of heart... Anita.
  8. Hi, just starting looking to get an IS250 2007 RWD with Nav. Ready to buy though. I am in the Northwest, but willing to drive a little to pick up the IS at the reasonable deal. I heard this time of the year is the best to deal. Is $500 over invoice deals out there? If so, which dealership? I heard that Westminister in Calif is the most aggressive in terms of pricing. I got my 2004 LS430 from them; had everything done via email and just drove down there to final the paper work and picked up the car with my trailor. But, this time around, the potential savings may not warrant driving so far. It did cost me $500 on gas and renting a tow trailor. I heard in this forum people are paying $1k over invoice in Oct. Price must've come down by now? Thanks. Anita.
  9. Thanks for your explanation. While I think that $715 destination charge is reasonable, the $479 dealer prep charge isn't. So I want to do business with those who doesn't. I don't think there is anything wrong with that. I have been shopping for Lexus, yes. But, first time shopping for RX. I got a beautiful LS430 in 2004, for about $1k over invoice, reasonable in my book. I am all for "salesperson have to make a living too", but must they make a 7-pounder?! When I got the LS430, my local dealerships won't deal at all, sticking to me at MSRP which is like $7k over invoice. I got some info from forum that dealerships in Calif were willing to deal, so I dealt with them instead. I ended up driving down there and picked it up with a trailor. Probably spent a $500 on gas and a weekend. That's way better than spending an extra $6k. I still take my LS in for services to my local dealership, so they will make money for sure. :-) I am happy, I still have the cash and the buying power. I don't expect anything from my local dealership, I use other dealerships figure as a starting point. I need to weigh whether it's worth my hassle to drive to Calif or Vegas. For $6k, I will do it in a heart beat. I think Brokers are for the people who can't negotiate, besides don't brokers need to make a living too? Btw, I bought a Scion last near, the spread between MSRP and invoice is $500 to $650. Toyota calls that Simple Pricing. I think that's reasonable and what a pleasant car buying experience. I think the whole car buying industry need to change to better consumers. In the meantime, we have play games like this.
  10. Just got back from the Tacoma (Northwest) Dealership. They wouldn't accept my $1k over invoice offer. The invoice was $40,271. Don't understand why their offer got stuck at $42,688+taxes+fees. Going to Oregon next. I already got an offer from Vegas for $500 below invoice. (Vegas has a $500 Doc fees, lol) Anyone got a better deal in Seattle area? Maybe I should just try a different dealership in Washington State. Btw, they want to pack the $715 (destination charge) and $479 (Dealer Pro Trim, what a rip!) 11. My new Motorola E815 bluetooth works fine with my 2005 LS430. Now, my hubby also got a new E815 and I was able to get his bluetooth to work on the LS as well. Now, is there a simple way to switch back and forth without having to bind and rebind the phones? Or, better yet can both phone be binded at the same time. So, if either phone rings, my LS can pick it up? Thanks,
  12. I purchased a 2005 LS430 with all the options as a weekend car, I didn't know the battery could die in a week of parking in the garage. What should I do? I drive my other car to work most of the time because of parking issues. I do have SMART system on the LS, but I put the key fob on the 2nd floor - thinking that should cause the battery to drain out that quickly. BTW, if the batter drains out that quickly, what happens to all the LS in the dealer parking lot? Do they jump start them once a week? Just a bit annoyed when the weekend comes, I have to jump start the car I pay $75k for…maybe a bit more annoyed (frustrating) if I can't fix the problem…Thx.
  13. I paid $65,484 for a LS430 with MSRP $73,484. :-)
  14. Thanks all for your input. Over the weekend, I took delivery of a new 2005 LS430 with U/L, Interior Package with Comfort Leather Trim, 18" Chrome Wheel, and Preferred Accessary Package (included). What a remarkable car! I absolutely LOVE it!! What a deal!!!
  15. I've already told you several times but you don't seem to be listening, NO I DON'T THINK SO Thats $9500 off MSRP on a car thats been out a month and a half, unheard of. ← I heard, I heard...Thanks for your reply. Anybody else? BTW, buying a car is hardly an "investment". It depreciates as soon as you drive off the lot...and lucky if you retain 50% of what you paid after 3 years.
  16. I have a 2-part question: 1. Can I get the ash interior for the ultra-lux package? 2005 LS430 Ext. color: Black Onyx Int. color: Ash Leather Trim with Walnut Accent *Ultra Luxury Package without Pre-collision System* 2. Invoice $59,896: Is $1500 over invoice $61,500 + T&L something that can be done for the car describe above? Thanks, Anita

  18. I think that's my starting point. You see...if I offer MSRP, I for sure will get the car, but what's the challenge there. I think $1500 to $2000 over the invoice is a fair/reasonable price to pay. Like I say, when I purchased my G, I had to go all the way to Texas. To save $3000+, I will do it in a heart beat. Just need to do enought research to make sure all are legit. Thx. Anita
  19. Thanks for your reply. Nothing for now. Anita
  20. $1500 off MSRP isn't much given that the spread between invoice and msrp is around $6-7k. Where about did your aunt get her LS430? (State/City) Thx, Anita
  21. That's good to know about the 2004. Loot at it this way thought, the 2004 already has a year worth of depreciation. I think I am better off with a 2005. Btw, which part of the country did you get your LS430? THx Anita
  22. If I can get one say $1500 over the invoice in Calif, I can have it shipped up to Seattle for $700. I bought my G35 from Texas that way. Only paid $500 over invoice + $700 shipping. The local Infiniti Dealership wanted MSRP ($3000! over invoice), I only paid $1200 over invoice effectively. And, the nice thing is when I have the G35 at my driveway, it only had 7 miles on the odometer! I plan to fax out my offer in a couple of days to Seattle dealerships with $1500 over invoice offer. If I don't hear back from any of them, I will shoot for dealerships in Calif. Thanks for the info. BTW, any particular dealerships you have worked with in the past that are reputable and good to do business with?
  23. Greetings all. I'm ready to step up to a 2005 LS430 with Ultra Luxury Package, Black Onyx exterior color. Edmond's TMV has it at very close the MSRP of $67,000. Now, the invoice is around $50,000. What's a reasonable price for a 2005 LS430 with UL package? I'm in the Seattle area, but have purchased vehicle out-of-state and had it shipped to my home. So, that's always an option. What's the best deal out there? I'm thinking of offering $1500 to $2000 over invoice being a reasonable mark-up. Please let me know. Thanks. Anita.
  24. sounds like I can just add $300 to the 2004 invoice price. Thx.
