  1. After much soul searching and much Bud Light, I think I have made a decision. ??? 1. It was between the IS 350 and the new G37. The G had a more visual impact, but the quality didn't come up to the level of the IS. Pricewise, they were about even. 2. The major problem was the Lexus policy of configuring their models to somewhat specific localities. This meant that in order to get the car with the toys I needed (wanted), I would have to order it from the factory. This would result in an approximate four month wait. The internet sales people did not appear to be too anxious to go the factory route, and they hinted broadly that I would have to pay MSRP. (2008 model will be $200 more for the base price) They were really pushing closeouts of the 2007's. I was planning for the following options: Sport Package $3695/$2956 NV Package $2550/$2168 Color Black on Black For moral support, what do you guys think? P.S. Are the paddle shifters standard equipment? I can't find them anywhere.
  2. Live and learn. I tried to place an order for an IS 350 2008 model. The Internet salesperson informed me that the only way I could get the VN (Nav. with Mark Levinson) and the ST (Sports package) would be to order the car from the factory. Not only does this mean a four month wait, but I would have to pay full MSRP. I'm new with Lexus, but it does seem strange that a company would configure their cars to fit the demand in different areas of the country. Was I being told a lot of BS, or is it really this way? Any way around this?
  3. Knightshade & luckyme, thanks for your information. Luckyme, could you tell me the name of the internet salesman you dealt with? I was in there last Saturday, asking about an IS 350, but the internet salesman was out. A 'senior' salesman helped me, and told me that there was no difference between regular sales and internet sales. They had no 350's in stock, so I made no committment yet. I take it that theywere willing to deal. I know that their free cappuccino was pretty good.
  4. Anyone with Las Vegas Dealer experience? I am interested in a 2008 IS 350 with Nav, and Sport Pkg., and am wondering if any deals can be made in the Vegas area. There is no competition here, unfortunately.
  5. If this has been asked before, I apologize. Does the Mark Levinson Premium unit in the IS 350 have an MP3 input?
