  1. Have you guys ever had problems with a rear spoiler on the IS 250? I had them add a rear spoiler. I picked up my brand new car 2 weeks ago and realized (after 2 hours of owning the car) that the sides of the spoiler were NOT connected to the trunk! I called and they brought it in....ordered a new spoiler. and said that there are screws in the middle of the spoiler, but the ends are held down with adhesive. Apparently, the adhesive was not keeping. I just picked it up with the new spoiler, and the sides are STILL coming up. It's not nearly as bad, but it's still not connected. Have you guys ever experienced this? I LOVE my car, but this is a bit annoying after only owning the car for 2 weeks. Any suggestions?
  2. I had my IS 250 for about 2 weeks. I would wash my car and 2 days later, the brake dust covered my wheels. Thanks to the members on this site, I learned about the free brake pad form. I called the service guy and he brought me RIGHT in and actually referenced the form (without me bringing it up) and changed the front brake pads at no extra cost. I have already noticed a difference in the amount of brake dust. I have heard NOTHING with the brakes. They make no sound. AND, they might try to say that you are moving from High Performance brake pads to normal brake pads.....it may be an out. I notice NO difference. Lexus would not put bad brake pads on the car. I definitely recommend that you get it done. The brake dust is THAT ridiculous. as for the leather....I experienced some annoying things with my car. and I just guess that it might be somethign that you have to live with. You'll get used to it. Just a thought :)
  3. Thank you Jetman! The sales rep failed to mention that!
  4. i don't have a pic and i'm not sure you should trust a pic of tint. I would ask the tint company to show you an example of the 35% tint (they should have an example piece of glass with 35%. 25% is NOT enough. and above 35% is really dark (and might be illegal in your state). Personally, I have found 35% to be the best percentage. I have a question for you. Do you have NAV? If so, can you play DVDs on it? I have posted a question about my DVD not working......I'm not sure if my IS has the ability to play it...I thought it did, but it's not recognizing that it's a DVD. It thinks it's a CD. I get "CD Check". Any suggestions?
  5. I don't think so. I got my IS tinted at 35% and NAV and key works perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend tinting your IS. I have a black IS and the tint takes the entire car up a notch!
  6. I just got my 2007 IS 250 AWD with Luxury and NAV packages a few days ago. It's AWESOME! I've been trying to play a DVD, but it won't work. I have it in "IG-ON" mode and the emergency brake on. I insert the DVD and it says "CD Changer", and then it says "CD Check". It says in my NAV Owner's Manual that I can play DVDs, but I'm beginning to think I don't have that option. Can you please help? Thank you SO much!
