I recently purchased a 1999 RX300 from my father-in-law. After a month or two, the ac would only blow on high, even though the fan speed was set at a lower speed. Now, it has died and isn't working at all. My mechanic told me that I would have to take it to the dealer to be repaired. I was quoted a repair charge of several thousand. I have fallen in love with by RX300 and I don't want to have to get rid of it. Being without AC in Texas is unbearable. Any suggestions for repairs that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
