  2. Thanks for your reply. It's pretty chilly here in Mass and I haven't run the ac in a while. I don't even think I ran thebheat this morning. Could it still be as you described w/o running the ac?
  3. Hello again, Man, the first time I post here about the longevity of my timimg belt and all the sudden I start getting issues. I did a cursory search of topics on leaks but found mostly power steering or coolant leaks. My problem: Just two days ago I noticed the carpet on the front passenger side has a wet stain, not a big one, running down from the top of the footwell in a stream flow. It had not been raining or a least not hard. I freaked out and wet vac'd and dried the whole thing. Actually, it prompted me to shampoo all the carpets and mats. With everything dry I put back the mats last night. This morning on the ride to work I'm admiring my job on the carpet when I see a wet spot spreading out from under the mat. I get to work and race around to the passenger side, lift the mat and lo and behold a new stream of wetness. Now, This was overnight and it did not rain at all. Can anyone enlighten me as to what might be happening here before I start trouble shooting? The liquid did not have a color or smell to it so I assume I'm not leaking fluids from the car.   4. I totally agree the wise thing to do is change it. I hesitated posting this for fear I would be deluged with negative posts detailing what an idiot I am for going so long. However, as Silvermate pointed out this, is the kind of info people here would like to know so I took a chance. It's at the point now that I'm curious as to whether I would ever have a problem with this versus the cost. I have never known of anyone losing a timing belt although I'm sure it has happened. The fact that it will do no more damage than leaving me stranded, for which I have AAA, I may just ride this to the end. I don't even know how much longer I'll drive the car. It's like a challenge now. I do take very good care of the car otherwise. I change the oil religously every 3k and do nothing but highway driving on Interstate roads, my commute is 122 miles a day. This car is not worked very hard at all. Thanks for listening.
  5. I've seen it asked before so I thought I'd share this information. My 94 LS400 has 183,500 miles on the original timing belt. I have only replaced the sepentine. I have owned this car for 5+ years.

  7. Wes, Sorry for not responding sooner, I don't get here often. Anyway, I selected OEM match for the LS400. I don't recall what they were calling it but I think it was California Burlwood. Go to that site to see some nice install pictures, I'll post mine when I get a chance. They do look nice. Thanks
  8. I installed a real wood OEM matched kit from www.exoticwoodtrim.com in my 94 ls400 and it looks luxurious. It was quite easy to do, but get it right on the first placement, there's no removing it w/o damaging. Going on 4 years and still looking good, however, it is garage kept and always use a sun shield.
