  1. Well trying to maintian and insure the SC and the LS has gotten a little out of hand, so unfortunately the SC400 is going to have to go. Really don't know how to price it.......Its a 92 SC400 with 141K on it. Runs great and has had all the maintenance including the timing belt done. I even have some of the records still. Car is loaded with every available option for 92. It is dark blue with a tan interior. Body and paint are good to excellent. Leather interior is showing some typical sun related wear. What is this thing worth? $7000? more? less? I'm in Norhtern CA.

  2. I suspect that there is some air in my system as the brake pedal is pretty soft. Brakes work great but the pedal seems soft and goes a little to low for my taste. Of course I'm comparing it to my SC400 which may not be a good thing to do.

The previous owner had the master cylinder replaced about two or three months before I bought the car. However, it was done by a Pontiac dealer????? :whistles: :o (I guess the service manager was a friend of his)

So I was wondering if they screwed up.

  3. Not trying to hi-jack the thread, but I just bought a 95 LS. My first LS and I have a question about the brake pedal. Keep in mind that I have only had a couple of SC's before this. The LS pedal feels a softer than the SC. Kind of feels like a low pedal, almost like it has too much freeplay. Is this normal or do I have a bad master cylinder? OR could it be something else?

  4. My 92 SC 400 just stalled yesterday at a stop light. It actually sputtered and then died. Fired right up and hasn't happened again....YET. I thought bad gas or fuel filter but I'm very interested in hearing more about this fuel pump ECU issue.......

  5. The wife was driving the SC yesterday and it started acting up on her. She said that it cranked a little longer than usual to fire up in the morning but then ran fine most of the day. Later in the afternoon, it sputtered and stalled at a stop light. She put it park and fired it right up with no problem. It did not act up again. I took it out last night and tried to duplicate the problem but got nothing. It ran great. Any ideas as to what it might be? I'm thinking bad gas, or a fuel filter that is clogging up? Car is bone stock except for a K&N filter in the original air box.

  6. Please forgive the stupid question, but I'm new to these awsome cars.

I have a 92 SC400 that i am trying to get aquanted with. Which if the two radiator hoses is the return line back to the radiator? The upper or lower hose that comes up to what appears to be a thermostat housing?
