  1. I have an LS 400, 1992 with tons of miles. A few months ago I replaced the water pump, timing belt etc. Has run and driven great since then. Drove the car last night with no sign of a problem. Get in this morning to drive and it is running like a 4 cylinder. No power, will hardly rev while in neutral. Seems like it is only running on half of the cylinders but it still runs smoothly. Is there someplace to start looking? Maybe a coil or something? It will sit and idle smoothly but sounds like a Honda car or something... Thanks in advance, Kevin Edit: I think its the ignition coil. I checked with a timing light and half of the plug wires are not showing power. So where is this coil located on the drivers side?
  2. Thanks RFELDES. The wire was indeed pulled off and the reconnection corrected the problem. Car is running like a new one once again. Currently 180,000 plus and no end in sight. Now if i can just figured out why the lighters don't work. Not a smoker but GPS plugs in there. Any help would be appreciated... Thanks Again, Kevin
  3. This past weekend I replaced the water pump, timing belt, etc. on my 1992 LS400, Now the electric fans run at high speed continuously. I don't recall this being the case in the past. The A/C control has no affect. Did I leave something unplugged or ??? I have looked around and don't see anything that seems out of place but with all of the interference that had to be removed and replaced for the water pump project I certainly wouldnt be surprised. Thanks, Kevin
  4. I am new here so please bear with me. I have a '92 LS 400. Water pump appears to be bad. I ordered one and it looks nothing like the one on the car. I searched on line and they show pics of two different pumps. Hate to order another and it not fit either. Any help would be appreciated. Kevin
