  1. toyota, lexus, ford, chevy, or whatever oem dealer parts u may buy are not made and manufactured by them, they are reboxed and put on the dealer shelves with their name on it........cracks me up all these people swear by oem brakes and they are no different than any other pads of that composition, anyone who says differently is ignorant

  2. i put some hi/low hid's on my car, they work great, the only issue i have is sometimes one light doesnt come on, i have to shut em off and turn em back on then they work fine, the high beams just lift the light up a little, its not like they have another light come on and blast the whole area with lighting, btw i have the 5000k version......one thing i would like to get is some jdm headlights that are one piece

  3. OEM lexus brake pads tend to be your best bet for all around best performance and longevity because the friction material the factory uses is so well tested and paired to the qualit/type of knodgular iron used by the factory! if budget is a concern just use red box organic semi-metalic pads

so the lexus engineers come up with materials to make their pads and noone else has this composition? lmfao! .......too funny

  4. Wow...is this really happenening right now???

When you go into a REAL Toyota/Lexus dealership to get work done. They order Toyota Genuine Parts from Toyota. Not knock-offs from napa or autozone.

Toyota makes THE parts for Toyota's, Lexus', and Scion's. The parts that come from the factory, the parts the vehicles are built with. These other brands make a "knock-off" type cheaper version of the same product to replace the more "expensive" OEM part. Nothing beats OEM. There is no gamble.

Just like if you don't want to buy your gf a $500 purse, you go get her a $50 knock-off, looks JUST the same. but the quality, reliabillity, and reputation you can count on are no where to be seen.

IS RAYBESTOS SO CALLED KNOCKOFF? lmfao! omfg.........tell me this.....who makes the best filters on the market? toyota? or WIX? wix makes our filters but have the napa name on them....napa doesnt make anything, they are reboxed and have our name on them, some of our parts actually are dealer parts....u might want to research information before posting, i have been in the business far too long and deal with shops and dealerships every day of my life.....cheers!

  5. i have a 92 LS 400.....i have an injector misfire, i bought some used ones but they r out of a sc400, they are the 251's, some are saying these will not work, others say they will......any ideas b4 i put them in?

    Doesn't NAPA carry replacements ?

lol yes they do, i already bought some used ones and thought they were the same part number..ugh i got a set for 125 dollars off ebay and will send them to witch hunter to get cleaned and tested for 17 dollars each, i just want to make sure i am not wasting any more money on them...

  6. the first pic u have, look at the rear gap and the wheel itself......it looks like the rear is tilted out at the top, that is an indication of the car sitting to high i believe.....just a thought here, im not to good with suspension, its just an observation, hope u get this resolved, i was thinking of getting the megans myself

  7. flit hack? u might wanna check who sells more parts to shops, in fact i sell to dealerships, toyota ,ford, pontiac, chevy, etc, if u dont have anything contructive to say to help out i suggest not commenting at all......BUB!

  8. Looks like I will be selling my 98 LS 400 in a year or so and buying a Mercedes Benz S500 4matic. Hopefully a 2006 as it is the last year of that body style. The 2007's and up do not look that nice. This will be my girlfriend's daily driver and my occasional driver. She will be moving in with me in a year or so once her kids move out. It will be good for her in the winter being AWD and nice enough for me to drive when we go out etc. Since I have 2 Ferrari's and my truck I find no need to have a car I drive only occasionally while she would have a SUV as a daily driver. Too many cars, SUV and a truck. So to remedy that I have decided on a Mercedes Benz S500 AWD. My LS400 has been an excellent car and I expect the Mercedes will not be as reliable. Maybe one day I'll be back. :)

congrats both on the car and the lady moving in with you! good luck with everything

  9. u r more than entitled to do what u see fit for ur own car, i have given u information that i know to be true due to first hand experience, if u feel the need to spend 100 dollars on a set of pads that wont stop u any better than a set bought from an auto parts store for less than half the money then go right ahead, Napa auto supplies a lot of shops around the country, in fact ill bet our race car........which is the #55 camry by the way, has our pads on it.....

It's not YOUR car to be betting with :whistles:

it HAS been my car that ive so called "bet" on, whatever that means, i have put after market pads on my car as well as sold many shops after market pads to put on many lexus, so before u go insuating im making statements under faulse pre-tenses, i suggest u look at my previous posts, im more qualified than most to speak in this area ........have u ever been a service writer? mechanic? i have been both as well as sell parts for a living.........is the Ls a ferrari, mercedes, high end bmw or some other 200,000 dollar car that requires only oem parts? no.....we dont even offer brakes for these cars, but we do offer brakes for the lexus......do u have any idea why? well i do....because they will work to oem specs
