  1. We need to nominate cars and then people should vote and then the winner announced no? Or is that what you were planning?

Ummmmm, so far it's been you & me in this thread (for the most part). Do you want to take this to General discussions to get some more involvement??

  2. Hey Rya, Happy belated Birthday!!! Did you get anything for you bday?

    Thanks!

A few things - $$$ is always a nice gift to receive & 3 family members gave me moola! The S4 received $1700 in repairs last week - so the extra cash is good!

  3. Hows that Rx300 going???

    Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

It's a 330 - but doing ok. Still no name - to much to think about these days to fit that in! But when I got the oil changed last time, I was told that the rear breaks are wearing unevenly - 20% outboard 80% inboard. So I'm going to have Lexus look at it this week. Oh and there is a new dash rattle - a loud dash rattle - that I want them to look at. Other than that, all is good.

  4. Well, my G-Ma's condo got the power back on, on Friday. My dad said everything is still a mess - lots of downed trees. Luckily there was not any damage to the condo or the cars which is good. The UPS store opened up cell phone charging service for free and free internet on Wednesday or Thursday which was nice. But I found out last night that Dad is moving G-Ma to Ohio in the Spring. :( I know it's time, but there are many sad aspects to this.

  5. I moved AWAY from that stupid state(Washington) to get away from all that damn rain. Just need to convince the rest of my family to do the same, so I don't ever have to go back for even a visit.

Go ahead, ask me how I REALLY feel about the great pacific north-WET! :P

:D Yep - it does rain a lot. We visit in July or August when it's usually dry. We drove out to Mt. Saint Helen's this year and we were lucky enough to have a clear day. The times I have been there in May or November - nothing but crappy weather. I LOVE it out there, but again, I don't see all of the rain and that whole tsunami that is waiting to happen kinda freaks me out a bit too.

  6. Hey Guys,

I know a bunch of you live in the Pacific NW. My G-Ma lives in the Seaside, OR area and my dad happened to be visiting when the storms hit. They're ok - limited power and heat - but ok. I've been reading the Daily Astorian for info. Has anyone in the LOC been affected?

Columbia River Maritime Museum. My G-Pa was the president of the board for two terms and raised a few $$ for the renovations that happened a few years ago.

  7. Here's my list:

    * People in my neighborhood that drop their kids off for middle school in the center of the road when there is an empty parking lot 5' away (the school is straight in front of the road I'm on - and the kids have to walk down the street to the stop light/cross walk anyway). No signal, no flashers, nothing. The parking lot is a business that doesn't open until after school starts & there are no signs saying no drop off, no turn around, etc.

    * People that try to turn left onto a busy 4 lane road when there is a stop light a 50' away. There is a very busy gas station - cheapest on in town - that people try to turn left out of all the time. My personal favorite is when they do it at rush hour. Plus there is a center lane & a turn lane for a total of 6 lanes. Fun for all!

    * Slow pokes in the LEFT LANE!! Have people not heard phrases such as the "Fast Lane" or the "Passing Lane"? If there are 3 lanes of traffic, why do people drive the speed limit or slower in the left lane? My boss is a culprit of this.... I'm so embarrassed driving on the highway with her. I hide my face from the people flying past us on the right. She also likes to tailgate SEMIS!!! That's fun also - really gets the blood flowing. Missing turnoffs is normal since I can't see road signs until we are right under them.

    * Why do people wash their windshield at 65 mph on the highway with people behind them? I just love that residual wiper fluid on my clean car.

    * When traffic appears to be stopped right after a stop light (light is still green), why do people still enter the intersection? Really fun when the intersection is blocked and no one going any direction can move.

    * People that block driveways. It never fails that someone needs to turn into a business & it's blocked by traffic.

    Ok.... I'm done for tonight.

  8. OMG!!! I know my rights, I know my rights!

I think my favorite part is when he said that if he didn't get his wife a beer - she was gonna stab him in the face. Then he told the cop his wife was gonna kick his a$$. That is one tough lady!

Oh - I also liked when he flung the empty bottle.

Thanks for sharing - that was funny!

  9. I havent done any yet lol ;)

My hubby's side of the family has to be done in 2 or 3 weeks as we do Christmas early with his family. We head to Cincinnati over the Christmas weekend to be with my family. So we have to have an early start.

    Good luck!
