  1. I have just noticed that the console shift indicator on my 2007 GX470 is intermittently blinkiing. This is not a "loose connection" kind of blinking, it appears to be some kind of intended blink or flash. Anyone seen this problem? Anyone know what, if anything, it's trying to tell me?
  2. had the TSB service done to my '07 GX470 just after July 4th. Problem solved. No clunk, no "push from back" and much smoother acceleration/deceleration all around. Honestly was dubious about the mechanicals involved, but apparently the engineers correctly identified and resolved the problem. took about 2 weeks to get the parts.
  3. I own a 2007 GX470 with the integrate Bluetooth feature. I have been trying, off and on, to get my address book from my blackberry or cellphone to dowload to the Bluetooth address book. Seems that there are no real instructions as to how to get the cellphone or blackberry device to transmit the information to the vehicle-based address book. The phones have no real documentation and the vehicle user manual implies that it just happens after you push a button. Has anyone done this without having to return to the dealer and paying the outrageous $179 fee to get this done? Any help is appreciated
  4. You need to remove 9 bolts and 1 fastener to get access to the filter. I recommend that you remove both plastic cover at the front and then metal one. Then you will see the filter. It is tight to get access to the filter because of the stabilizer bar. Do not remove the back plate around the drain plug. thanks much for the help.
  5. I can confirm it. :cries: I have an 07 GX I bought in March and noticed the clunk within days of driving off the lot. Haven't returned for the 5K service yet, but intend to raise the issue with the service manager when I do.
  6. Cypress Pearl w/Champagne Interior (that's why they're calling it for the 2007 model year. I was focused on the interior color more than exterior. Wanted a light color interior to minimize the "too hot to sit in it" problem dark interiors bring with them. Settled on Cypress Pearl exterior because it was available. Wanted the Ash Blue Mica, but all available had dark interiors, which was a non-starter for me. Have quickly grown to like Cypress Pearl because it takes on different hues in different light. In bright sun, it goes a little gray. In evening it goes more green. Does pretty well in not showing dirt/dust immediately.
  7. Recently bought my 1st Lexux, a GX470. Have always been a self-maintainer for oil, brakes, etc. Went into the engine compartment looking for the oil filter today and found it--after a while--but there's a shroud covering it from the bottom that appears to require 6-8 bolts to be removed to gain access to the filter. Am I missing something here or is this maintenance job going to be really time consuming? Any help appreciated
